HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL? COSTS?
I’m willing to travel all over the world to cover your wedding day!
Variety is the spice of life and I love filming in many different venues, locations, counties and countries.
For venues that are greater than 50 miles from Lydney, Gloucestershire, we charge a small fee of 30p per mile. You will only be charged for mileage after the initial 50 miles.
For destination weddings, drop us a message and we will get back to you with a quote.
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
We require a 20% deposit to secure our services for your big day.
The rest of the payment will then be due 4 weeks before the date of your wedding.
WHO ARE CENTREPIECE WEDDING FILMS?
From start to finish you will deal with Chris Daymond. That’s me. Hi!
I will be your initial contact, your main camera operator on the day, and editor of every film we produce. This is to ensure that our work will always have a consistency of style and quality. I’m more than happy to answer any questions if you would prefer.
On the wedding day itself, I call upon the assistance of a member of the shooting team. These are all excellent filmmakers that I know I can rely on.
WHY ARE THERE TWO CAMERA OPERATORS ON THE DAY?
Two camera operators allow us the flexibility of filming in two different areas at the same time. For example, we are able to capture both the bridal prep, and the groom prep without any issues. In fact many couples comment that we capture so many moments that they missed on the day, and I put a lot of that down to the fact that we work so well as a team.
When it comes to key moments throughout the day – namely the ceremony and the speeches – we have the angles covered. Two heads are certainly better than one when it comes to these crucial moments.
HOW LONG DO WE HAVE YOU FOR ON THE DAY?
I’m extremely flexible with time and will stay for as long as required on the day.
Your wedding day only happens once, and we aim to tell the full story of that day. Therefore we will stay as long as we need to in order to create the most complete film telling the story of your wedding.
CAN I CHOOSE THE MUSIC FOR MY FILMS?
All of the music you will have heard in the films featured on the Centrepiece Wedding Films website were selected from a fully licensed music library. Centrepiece have invested in some of the best music licensing websites in order to ensure a high quality of fully licensed music can be selected for your wedding film.
Music is a very important element of you wedding film, and we spend a lot of time ensuring we select the right tracks to support the feel of your wedding day, and to suit you as a couple. If you would prefer to choose the music yourself, we can create a shortlist of tracks for you to choose from.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR VIDEOS?
The completion times for each of the films are….
Teaser Film – within 1 week
Highlights Film – within 2-3 weeks
Full Length Films – within 6-8 weeks
Initially you will be presented with your videos via an online private Vimeo link.
Once all of your films are finalised and you have confirmed you are happy with your videos, they will be sent to you on a Centrepiece Wedding Films USB stick. This can be played on all modern TV sets and computers.
CAN I ASK FOR CHANGES TO BE MADE TO MY VIDEOS?
What we want more than anything is you to be happy with your vidoes, and therefore we allow for up to 2 rounds of edit changes to be made. There may be a shot included in your film during your bridal prep for example that you would like to be removed, or another moment throughout the day that you would prefer not to be included. Just let us know, and we will take care of it for you.
CAN WE HAVE DRONE FOOTAGE ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
In order to be able to fly a drone for commercial operations – including weddings – video operators need to undergo training and pass an examination in order to be given permission from the Civil Aviation Authority to be able to fly for commercial gain.
Here at Centrepiece Wedding Films we are certified CAA Drone Operators and are proud to be able to offer you aerial videography for your wedding day as standard on each of our packages.
This is however at the discretion of the venue. In our experience, the majority of venues are happy for us to fly our drone as long as we use our skills and experience to ensure the highest levels of safety are observed at all times. We must also be aware of other flying restrictions in certain areas ie. proximity to airports, prisons, main roads etc.
HOW DO YOU CAPTURE THE SOUND FROM THE CEREMONY AND SPEECHES?
We use small clip on lapel microphones which we attach to the jacket of the groom, the marriage officiant, and those giving speeches.
These are extremely small and unobtrusive and can be even be hidden from site completely.
WILL THE VIDEOS BE SHARED ONLINE?
The videos are all uploaded onto a Vimeo page as a private link.
We love to share videos across our social media as we are very proud of what we produce, however we will not do so unless you are happy for that to be done.
We are more than happy for you to share the films yourself, and we can provide you with a link for you to share to make this easily possible.
